Certificate in Interpersonal Skills

There is another opportunity for volunteers to gain this qualification, run by the University of Wales, Lampeter. It is a distance learning course and tutors are available to offer help and encouragement. Topics covered include Communication, Counselling, Stress Management, Dealing with aggression, Confidentiality, Problem Solving, Decision making, Group working, Listening and Assertiveness.

There are 250 ‘Burgess Bursaries’ available to cover the fees, in honour of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Burgess the founder of what is now the University of Wales, Lampeter. Two of our volunteers have previously undergone this course and found it very worthwhile.
