Income Generation

Raising sufficient income is a major responsibility. Many of our services receive no or inadequate funding, so we have to raise funding from whatever source we can. Services for which we are especially short of funding are:

Information and advice
Lunch and leisure clubs
Handyperson project
Recruitment, training and retention of volunteers
Overhead costs and accommodation

We are always keen to hear from anyone who has an interest in fund-raising or income generation, or alternatively who is willing to help us by offering their services without charge.

You could also run a fundraising event.

If you would like to support us financially, but are not interested in assisting, organising or running a fund-raising event, direct giving through donations is always very thankfully received.

Alternatively you might be interested in training as one of our team of trading volunteers, selling our range of products (especially insurance), which are especially designed to meet the needs of older people, or simply by regularly buying into one of our weekly lotteries - either the Age Concern Lottery or the Great Weather Lottery. Proceeds from each of these go towards providing our range of services.
