Advocacy
What is the Advocacy Service?
The Advocacy service provides vulnerable older people with:
- Information - an independent view of the issue being discussed.
- Support to get your views heard.
- Representation - a vetted and trustworthy Advocate is assigned to
help you with your problems.
- Assistance with asking for and obtaining the services to which you
are entitled.
- Independent representation on your unmet care needs.
- Someone to listen to you, while respecting your wishes and views.
You may be facing decisions about your future, such as "Should you
continue to live at home or move into residential or nursing care?"
If so, our advocacy service will enable you to get the services to which
you are entitled. Advocates do not:
