Introduction

Who we are?

Age Concern Harrow is a voluntary organisation working to improve the quality of life for older people living in Harrow.

As a Charity, we are registered with the Charity Commission. We are also a registered company, limited by guarantee.

Although we are a member of the Age Concern Federation, we are statutorily independent and are managed by our Board of Trustees. Through the membership of the Age Concern Federation, we draw on the expertise of Age Concern England and Age Concern London, who campaign vigorously at Government level on behalf of older people

What we do?

We provide a range of products and services aimed at improving the lives of older people. These products and services include:

Offering information, advice and advocacy to older people, their families and those who care for them.
Providing services aimed at supporting people in their homes.
Preventing accidents and promoting healthy living.
Lunch and leisure activities.
Influencing policy and managing the 'listening' project 'POP' (Partnership with Older People).
Trading in insurance and other products in order to raise income and to meet client's needs.
Working with other voluntary organisations, the local authority and health services on matters relevant to older residents of Harrow.

We work for all older people living in Harrow, regardless of ethnicity. In addition we support the development of quality services for older people in Harrow and work in partnership with other voluntary sector organisations, the local authority and local health services on all matters relevant to older residents of Harrow.
